What are your words?
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1
The Bible contains numerous references about the Word of God and how powerful it is, how moving and alive it is. The idea that words are alive is not an uncommon one in religion and in society, but most of us don’t take that understanding too seriously. Take a moment and ask yourself what words are living inside of you and what words have you made alive in another?
When we interact with another person, we leave lasting impressions on their soul. The words we say to another person about anything and everything will live inside that person forever. Our thoughts, opinions, perceptions… they all take on lives of their own inside the minds and hearts of the people we connect with.
There is a philosophical question that asks, “If everything you ever said was written on your skin, would you choose your words more carefully?”
Think about the words you are choosing, the words you put into the hearts of others. Are they positive? Are they spreading God’s love? Are they embodying the word of God? Are they embodying the love you feel for them?
